This is a story in the 1980s on Los Angeles’s Sunset Strip where there are a whole lot of people from different walks of life in the world of rock and roll. The focus was losing yourself in music, rock and roll, sex, drugs and for some murder rule the day in the drama series ‘Wicked City.’
Los Angeles during that time was the serial killer capital of the world. In the pilot one night a girl out partying on the Strip meets the wrong guy (Kent Galloway) and suddenly her murder is all over the news. He uses the girls ambitions to lure them into his trap…and then he kills them.
Subsequently, Kent picks up another potential victim. But when he learns that she’s the mother of two young children he opts not to kill her. Nonetheless, they form this unusual connection because underneath it all she’s a psychopath too. Their twisted connection leads to them pairing up as this sort of Bonnie & Clyde like serial killer duo.
‘Wicked City’ looks at the glamour of it all and turns it around and looks at what’s underneath. The juxtaposition between these two characters who are able to show love not only to each other but to young children and then on the other side of that they couldn’t be more devious and more darker.
‘Wicked City’ is described as a character driven “true crime” procedural drama anthology television series that explores sex, politics and popular culture across various noteworthy eras in Los Angeles history.
The series stars Adam Rothenberg, Ed Westwick, Taissa Farmiga, Gabriel Luna, Karolina Wydra, Holley Fain, Darrell Britt-Gibson, Anne Winters and Erika Christensen and is scheduled to premiere on October 27th 10|9c on ABC
