“I’m writing a book.” Sometimes simply turning the page starts a whole new chapter. In ‘Tumbledown’ years after the accidental death of her almost famous folk-legend songwriter husband Hunter, Hannah (Rebecca Hall) lives a simple life far away from noise and chaos of the city in a small-town in Maine. Hannah struggles to fill the new void in her life and indulges in a fling with (Joe Manganiello) while fixating on the seemingly impossible task of writing the biography of her lost husband – for herself and his fans.
Turn the page. Start a new chapter. Hannah is approached by a cocky New York writer Andrew (Jason Sudeikis) intent on penning his own biography of her late husband and is roused into action and runs him and his book out of her town. Andrew is not one to give up easily. Initially wary of his intentions she decides to collaborate with him on the book, leading them both to surprising discoveries.
“I see what’s going on here you’re just a crazy person.” Sometimes the person you least expect is the one you need the most. As Hannah and Andrew dig deeper into Hunter’s life and death, they come to their own revelations about what it means to live, and to love. Filled with tears, laughter, love and music: ‘Tumbledown’ is a comedic love story with heart, humor, and tenderness of a woman who must find the courage to let go of her past and the strength to move on to her future.
