Inside he discovers thirteen cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), his classmate and crush-who tragically committed suicide two weeks earlier.

And if you’re listening to this tape you’re one of the reasons why.” On tape, Hannah unfolds an emotional audio diary, detailing the thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them.

Season one ended with some cliffhangers. Season two will include multiple timelines and another voice-over, although it won’t come from Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) next time. Season 2 is going to start a few months after the events of season 1. The show will continue to depict the aftermath of Hannah’s death and the events that led to the tragedy. “Who is responsible, if anyone is?” The series, created and written by Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey, with Australian actress Katherine Langford who makes her professional acting debut as the lead on the show, opposite Dylan Minnette and Kate Walsh. With a cast that also includes Katherine Langford, Christian Navarro, Michael Sadler and Derek Luke, the Netflix original movie, executive produced by Selena Gomez ’13 Reasons Why’ Season 2 will return in 2018.
