They’re afraid of the Truth and They Should Be in Netflix’s’13 Reasons Why’ (Season 2 Announcement)

“Hannah I’m not going, not now, not ever.” “Why did you say this to me when I was alive?” If You’re Listening, You’re Too Late. ’13 Reasons Why,’ based on the best-selling mystery by Jay Asher, follows teenager Clay Jensen (Dylan Minnette) as he returns home from school to find a mysterious box with his name on it lying on his porch. Inside he discovers thirteen cassette tapes recorded by Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford), his classmate and crush-who tragically committed suicide two weeks earlier.

“Hey, it’s Hannah, Hannah Baker. Settle in because I’m about to tell you the story of my life. More specifically why my life ended. And if you’re listening to this tape you’re one of the reasons why.” On tape, Hannah unfolds an emotional audio diary, detailing the thirteen reasons why she decided to end her life. Clay is one of them.

“Hannah had secrets Mrs. Baker.” “Hannah’s secrets are what killed her.” Why would a dead girl lie? “Whatever Hannah thought she saw she lied about on those tapes because she’s a crazy drama queen who just killed herself for attention.” They’re afraid of the truth. They Should Be. Through Hannah and Clay’s dual narratives, ’13 Reasons Why’ weaves an intricate and heartrending story of confusion and desperation that follows Clay in his quest to uncover the story behind his classmate and crush, Hannah, and her decision to end her life.

Season one ended with some cliffhangers. Season two will include multiple timelines and another voice-over, although it won’t come from Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) next time. Season 2 is going to start a few months after the events of season 1. The show will continue to depict the aftermath of Hannah’s death and the events that led to the tragedy. “Who is responsible, if anyone is?” The series, created and written by Pulitzer Prize winner Brian Yorkey, with Australian actress Katherine Langford who makes her professional acting debut as the lead on the show, opposite Dylan Minnette and Kate Walsh. With a cast that also includes Katherine Langford, Christian Navarro, Michael Sadler and Derek Luke, the Netflix original movie, executive produced by Selena Gomez ’13 Reasons Why’ Season 2 will return in 2018.

About

Entertainment of interest to me is not just a repeat of what you can find elsewhere, but, is inclusive of stories that are not highly publicized as well as ‘old-school’ celebrity news.

I see the glass half-full and strive to be a light in the darkness.
