(Starz Channel Clip) Humanity is the Disease. ‘Inferno’ is the Cure. Starring Tom Hanks, Felicity Jones & Omar Sy

“It appears you’re out of options. Tell me about the threat known as Inferno.” The world’s greatest mind is facing his greatest challenge. Only he can see the clues. Only he can unlock the mystery. Only he can stop the unthinkable. “I left you a path the hardest one yet only you can finish it. You are humanities final hope.” There’s a switch if you throw it half the people on earth will die. But if you don’t in 100 years the human race will be extinct. Will you throw the switch? In ‘Inferno’ Tom Hanks is returning to his role of Harvard University professor Robert Langdon in the latest Dan Brown novel adaptation. The story line follows Langdon after waking up in a hospital room in Florence, Italy, with no memory of what has occurred for the last few days. He suddenly finds himself the target of a manhunt. “Professor Langdon we need your help. Three days ago a man killed himself we think he was part of something much bigger.”

“Someone created a plague.” “No one can find the virus.” With the help of Sienna Brooks,  a doctor he hopes will help him recover his memories and his knowledge of symbology, Langdon investigates a mystery and works to prevent a madman from releasing a global plague linked to Dante’s ‘Inferno.’

“Why this map of hell?” “Oh my god, Dante’s Inferno isn’t fiction, it’s a prophecy.” Every clue will take him deeper. He must uncover the truth before hell is unleashed. The mystery thriller directed by Academy Award® winner Ron Howard and written by David Koepp, with a cast that includes: Academy Award® winner Tom Hanks, Irrfan Khan, Omar Sy, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Felicity Jones, and Ben Foster is based on Brown’s 2013 novel of same name.

“It has very little to do with the past and everything to do with the moment because the clock is really ticking in this movie,” says director Ron Howard. ‘Inferno,’ the sequel to Angels & Demons, produced by Brian Grazer (among others), was released on Blu-ray, Digital, & On Demand January 24, 2017. The film is now available on the Starz channel.

Entertainment of interest to me is not just a repeat of what you can find elsewhere, but, is inclusive of stories that are not highly publicized as well as 'old-school' celebrity news. I see the glass half-full and strive to be a light in the darkness.
