“Step dads and dads don’t always get along but Dusty and I have this co-dad thing on lock down.” In ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ Brad Whitaker (Will Ferrell) and Dusty Mayron (Mark Wahlberg) are back at it again in the comedy sequel that continues the story from the 2015 hit ‘Daddy’s Home.’
“Your father hasn’t met the new evolved Dusty.” “That’s exactly the stuff he’s gonna make fun of us for, you’ll see.” More Daddies More Problems. This sequel also brings two new cast members into the fold, Mel Gibson and John Lithgow, portraying Dusty and Brad’s fathers. The fathers being met at the airport to join the Christmas holiday celebration with Wahlberg and Ferrell having teamed to provide their kids with a perfect Christmas.
“This is Sarah’s husband.” “Why is he here?” “Because my dad is coming too.” Pack your baggage. “You’re letting this guy raise your kids?” Gibson asks his son incredulously. Brad and Dusty must deal with their intrusive fathers during the holidays. In the trailer we see Ferrell and Lithgow embrace joyously and kiss after not seeing each other for two weeks — much to the chagrin of Gibson’s old-school ultra-macho character.
“He’s gonna ruin Christmas.” “The only person who can ruin Christmas is looking back at you in that mirror.” Directed by Sean Anders, from a screenplay by Anders and John Morris ‘Daddy’s Home 2’ stars Will Ferrell, Mark Wahlberg, Linda Cardellini, John Cena, John Lithgow and Mel Gibson. The film hits theaters November 10, 2017.
