“Where are we going?” “DunKirk.” “If we go there we’ll die. I’m not going back.” Hope is a weapon. Survival is victory. At the point of crisis, at the point of annihilation, survival is victory. In the newly released trailer for Christopher Nolan’s WWII action thriller ‘Dunkirk,’ based on the true story of the miraculous evacuation of Allied soldiers from Belgium, Britain and France, who were cut off and surrounded by the German army from the beaches and harbor of Dunkirk, France, between May 27- June 04, 1940, during Battle of France in World War II, sirens are blaring leaving great anticipation of impending doom. The story tells of the British operation that evacuated and saved the lives of 330,000 Allied soldiers by boat across the English channel.
The event that shaped the world. “Why waste precious tanks when they can pick us out from the air like fish in a barrel? There are four hundred thousand men on this beach.” Written, co-produced and directed by Christopher Nolan, the IMAX-shot World War II epic action thriller with a cast of young British stars and seasoned pros looks to be a powerful pure war film.
“We can practically see home from here.” With an all-star ensemble cast that includes Harry Styles in his film debut as well as Tom Hardy, Kenneth Branagh, Cillian Murphy, Fionn Whitehead, Aneurin Barnard, James D’Arcy, Jack Lowden, Barry Keoghan, and Tom Glynn-Carne, ‘Dunkirk’ is scheduled to hit theaters July 21, 2017.
‘Dunkirk’ looks epic in scale, looking forward to seeing more from this. What do you think?
