“Sometimes friends take you straight to hell.” In ‘Blood Brother’ Sonny (Trey Songz) is a police officer who spent his teenage years on the wrong side of the law. Now he is committed to being a better man and keeping the streets clean. After spending fifteen years in prison, his childhood friend and partner in crime, Jake (Jack Kesy), is released from prison. “What’s wrong, is he crazy? What’s gonna happen to you?” “Don’t you worry about me, okay?”
“What are friend for?” “You grow up where I did friends is your whole world.” Jake blames Sonny for the years he spent behind bars and plans to take vengeance any way he can. ‘Blood Brother’ takes place on the mean streets of a city in decay. As the bodies start piling up, hatred boils over as these former friends are turned into bitter rivals.
“Anybody can change. Even you.” Sonny will stop at nothing to put an end to the murderous rampage and to right the many wrongs of their tragically violent past. Directed by John Pogue from a script co-written by Michael Finch and Karl Gajdusek, starring Grammy-nominated R&B singer-songwriter Trey Songz, Jack Kesy, China McClain, Ron “R-Truth” Killings, Tanee McCall, Kenneth Kynt Bryan, Hassan Johnson and Fetty Wap ‘Blood Brother’ is slated to hit theaters in 2017.
