“See that beam of light. That is pure energy and it’s going to be sucked down into the tower that’s gonna to power the whole city here, maybe the whole country.” “Is it safe?” “This is an opportunity to explore impossible frontiers.” In ‘Kill Switch’ (formerly titled “Redivider”) a pilot (Dan Stevens) battles to save his family and the planet after an experiment for unlimited energy involving parallel universes goes wrong.
“Two worlds, we have to sacrifice one so the other may endure.” Directed by Tim Smit in his directorial debut, from a screenplay by Charlie Kindinger and Omid Nooshin, the American-Dutch science fiction thriller stars Dan Stevens, Bérénice Marlohe, Tygo Gernandt, Charity Wakefield, Bas Keijzer, Mike Libanon and Mike Reus.
Stevens plays Will Porter, who has to save the world after the mystery company he works for screws up an experiment to create unlimited energy. Porter gets sent to a parallel world, where he’ll have to look for the ‘Kill Switch.’ The Kill Switch is the one item that could save the day. The sci-fi thriller is based on a short Smit made. The film is scheduled to be released on June 16, 2017, by Saban Films.
