Do more punk to me.” In the wacky cult science fiction romantic-comedy ‘How to Talk to Girls at Parties’ an alien touring the galaxy breaks away from her group and meets two young inhabitants of the most dangerous place in the universe: the London suburb of Croydon.
“I can come with you.” “When do you have to be back?” “I have 48 hours.” The film is set in the late 70s, it’s a punk rock-infused, horny-adventure about a group of punk kids who discover a secret convent of aliens visiting planet Earth. “I like your body, it smells like butter.” “She’s not normal.”
“Ready to come home yet?” “I wish to stay. The science fiction romantic-comedy is directed by John Cameron Mitchell who co-wrote the screenplay with Philippa Goslett, based on the short story of the same name by Neil Gaiman.
‘How to Talk to Girls at Parties’ stars Elle Fanning, Alex Sharp, Nicole Kidman, Ruth Wilson, and Matt Lucas. The film premiered at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival to mixed reviews and opens first in Japan this December. No U.S. theaters release date has been set yet, but it is expected to be released in early 2018.
