Watch Frances McDormand & Woody Harrelson in Martin McDonagh’s ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ Dark Twisted Dramedy

“What’s the law on what you can and cannot say on a billboard? I assume you can’t say nothing defamatory and you can’t say f*ck, piss or cunt, definitely right?” “Or anus.” “I think I’ll be alright then.” “I guess you’re Angela Hayes’s mother?” “That’s right I’m Angela Hayes’s mother.” ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ is a darkly comic drama about a woman who goes to war against the police in her Missouri town after her daughter is murdered.

“So, Mildred Hayes why did you put up these billboards?” “My daughter Angela was murdered seven months ago it seems to me the police are too busy torturing black folks to solve actual crimes.” After months have passed without a culprit in her daughter’s murder case, Mildred Hayes (Academy Award winner Frances McDormand) makes a bold move, painting three signs leading into her town with a controversial message directed at William Willoughby (Academy Award nominee Woody Harrelson), the town’s revered chief of police.

“What the hell is this. Chief I think we got a bit of a problem.” When his second-in-command Officer Dixon (Sam Rockwell), an immature mother’s boy with a penchant for violence, gets involved, the battle between Mildred and Ebbing’s law enforcement is only exacerbated. “I’d do anything to catch your daughter’s killer. I don’t think those billboards are very fair.” “The time it took you to come out here winning like a bi*ch some other poor girl is probably out there being butchered right now.”

“The more you keep a case in the public’s eye the better the chance of getting it solved.” Directed and written by Academy Award winner Martin McDonagh the darkly twisted and comedic tale boasts an all-star ensemble cast that includes Caleb Landry Jones, Abbie Cornish, Woody Harrelson, Peter Dinklage, Sam Rockwell, Frances McDormand,  Kathryn Newton  and John Hawkes. ‘Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri’ has a theater release date of November 10 2017.

About

Entertainment of interest to me is not just a repeat of what you can find elsewhere, but, is inclusive of stories that are not highly publicized as well as ‘old-school’ celebrity news.

I see the glass half-full and strive to be a light in the darkness.
