‘Samson’ is Chosen, Betrayed, & Redeemed in Biblical Story starring Jackson Rathbone, Rutger Hauer & Lindsay Wagner

“Remember the prophesy.” ‘Samson’ is an epic cinematic version of the Samson and Delilah story from the bible. The story follows a young Hebrew with an unusual gift of strength who must respond properly to the call of God on his life in order to lead his people out of enslavement. “Samson, chosen by the living God to be his hand of vengeance. It’s his will.” “But it is not mine.”

“Who is this God that gives you such strength?” “Three vows were bestowed upon me, no wine, no touching the dead, no cutting my hair.” After losing the love of his life to a cruel Philistine prince, ‘Samson’ defends his people, sacrificing everything to avenge his love, his people, and his God.

“He has the strength of a God, I saw it with my own eyes.” “I want you to investigate this. I want him dead.” “You find me the secret of his power, my Delilah.” A hero will rise. As his brother mounts a tribal rebellion, only Samson’s relationship with a Philistine seductress and his final surrender – both to the Philistines and to God – turns imprisonment and blindness into final victory.

“My name is Samson, you will face the wrath of God.” Co-Directed by Bruce Macdonald and Gabriel Sabloff from a screenplay is co-written by Jason Baumgardner, Galen Gilbert, Timothy Ratajczak, and Zach Smith, with a cast that includes Billy Zane as King Balek, Jackson Rathbone as Rallah, plus Rutger Hauer & Lindsay Wagner as Samson’s father and mother, Manoah and Zealphonis, newcomer Taylor James stars as the Hebrew hero ‘Samson,’ with Caitlin Leahy as Delilah. The film will be in theaters February 16, 2018.

Entertainment of interest to me is not just a repeat of what you can find elsewhere, but, is inclusive of stories that are not highly publicized as well as 'old-school' celebrity news. I see the glass half-full and strive to be a light in the darkness.
