‘The Chi’ is created and executive produced by Emmy® winner Lena Waithe, and executive produced by Academy Award® winner Common and Elwood Reid. Waithe also stars in the semi-autobiographical show which explores the humanity behind the headlines sensationalizing the South Side of Chicago.
The ensemble cast includes Jason Mitchell, Jacob Latimore, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Alex Hibbert, Yolonda Ross, Armando Riesco and Tiffany Boone. Directed by Rick Famuyiwa ‘The Chi’ which premiered January 7, 2018, airs Sundays 10pm ET/PT on Showtime.
