A Rich Life is just as Messed up as a Poor Life in FX’s Series Based on J. Paul Getty’s Life ‘Trust’ (Trailer) with Brendan Fraser & Donald Sutherland

“You’d think that being rich would be a breeze.” “Hey granddad.” “My grandson, John Paul Getty III.” “How much easier can life get? To have what you want when you want it.” “Brought to you on a silver plate.” In ‘Trust’ the era is Rome, 1973. John Paul Getty III, the heir and younger member of an oil tycoons’ saga, is kidnapped by the Italian mafia in order to get a ransom.

“I got into some trouble, I need to pay them off.” “He’s not gonna give me a cent, but I have something better…me.” “He’s been kidnapped.” “I would like to send a message to the kidnappers, I will not pay a single solitary cent.” Quite surprisingly, for some undisclosed reason, his family seems not interested at all in having him back. “You’re saying we do nothing?” “It’s a hoax.”

“Turns out a rich life is just as messed up as a poor life. Just a different kind of messed up.” ‘Trust’s 10-episode first season is set in 1973 and centers on the abduction in Italy of John Paul Getty III, then-heir to Getty Oil. FX’s new original series from Academy Award winners Danny Boyle, Simon Beaufoy, and Christian Colson starring Brendan Fraser, Harris Dickinson, Michael Esper and Donald Sutherland, will be directed by Boyle as well. The series is set to premiere on March 25, 2018.

Good to see Brendan Fraser. Your Thoughts?

About

Entertainment of interest to me is not just a repeat of what you can find elsewhere, but, is inclusive of stories that are not highly publicized as well as 'old-school' celebrity news. I see the glass half-full and strive to be a light in the darkness.
