“Everybody this is a hijacking, don’t nobody move, stay in your seats and no one will be harmed. If you try anything you will die.” Inspired by the true story of a hijacking of an Air France flight in 1976 en route from Tel Aviv to Paris the British hijacking thriller ‘7 Days in Entebbe’ depicts the gripping story of the plane that was forced to land in Entebbe, Uganda in an effort to free of dozens of jailed Palestinian terrorists in Israel.
“We call upon revolutionary movements everywhere to focus the attention of the world on the Palestinian people’s struggle.” What happened changed the course of history.
“There are 239 hostages at Entebbe, 83 are Israeli.” The Germans separated the Jews. We have to act, there can be no negotiations with terrorists.” “You want to invade Uganda?” “We’ll give it back to them when we leave.” The film depicts the most daring rescue mission ever attempted.
“Anyone who tries to resist me will be shot. If your government do not negotiate they will kill 2 children every 24 hours.”
“If the mission fails the blow to Israel will be catastrophic. We stop for nothing until all the hostages are safe.” Directed by José Padilha from a script written by Gregory Burke ‘7 Days in Entebbe’ stars Rosamund Pike and Daniel Brühl. It is set to be released in theaters March 16, 2018.
